Its strange, I was just watching TV and a daily magazine show came on. They were talking to a 'Tony Williams' who has written a new book which points the blame at his grandfather - John Williams. A Welsh Doctor who had a practice in Whitechapel. There is documentary evidence that he carried out an abortion on Polly Nicholls and other victims and that he knew Mary Kelly, he'd met her in Wales, indeed he was the client who whisked her away to Paris. There is a letter sent to a friend that cancels an appointment as he 'is due in WHitechapel tonight'. The Date 8th Sept 1888 (Annie Chapmans Murder) After the murders finished he moved back to Wales and gave up medicine. I'm not definatley saying that this is the murderer, but it certainly raised my eyebrows. Any one else aware of Dr. Williams? If you want to please email me I'd love to discuss this further. kiki751@yahoo.com |

Hi Si, This is being discussed in the Books and Media area under the title Uncle Jack -- it's probably best to check out the conversations going on there.
