Hi Can anyone tell me some reasons why a persons naturalisation records might be closed for 100 years? Is the usual amount of time 30 years before the contents of these types of records can be viewed? thanks for any help Debra

Hi, Debra I know zip about British naturalisation records, but the closure's probably a blanket closure and not specifically directed at any particular person. If you're looking for something on a family member, I think you could get it by writing the proper department within the Home Office. I'm sure an experienced genealogist would be able to provide a lot more information. Best of luck, Dave |
