Yeah, I threw in a fiver bid for these items on E-Bay but I was outbid by a racoon from Texas. Tell you what - just to make things easy for you - I'll give you a tenner for the lot, no questions asked you must understand. Shall I send you a Check or would you rather have a Pole? |

Hi, Speaking from someone who owns a number of original Times Newspapers from that period[ not copys papers that were returned unsold on the date of edition] I would recomend that a purchase price of no more then Twenty five pounds should be offered. I obtained my papers some 10 years ago, and I Paid approx twenty pounds[ including postage and packing per paper] these papers should be in mint condition and should include a certificate of them being authentic. Once obtained they are worth their worth in gold exspecially if one obtains copys of the right dates, for not only are you privileged in reading the news as it was actually printed refering to the murders but it gives one a true insight to real life in the late 1880s. Just watch that you pay the value price, and if you can better it , good reading. Regards Richard, |

Here you go, this lot is going for less than a tenner on E-bay at the moment: 10 COMPLETE ORIGINAL newspapers, the Pall Mall Gazette (London, England) with dates betwen July 1 and Dec 31, 1888. This was the time when the London serial killer known as JACK the RIPPER was murdering women in Whitechapel- London's East end. These issues do not contain news of Jack the Ripper directly but do give a flavor of the atmosphere in London during this time of great terror. The eaxct dates of the 10 issues are picked at random betweeen July 1 and Dec 31, 1888 and the photo above is to illustrate the condition and appearance of the newspapers in this lot. Great way to get the flavor of the Jak the Ripper era in London- and in the LOCAL newspaper !!! All are in excellent Condition. This listing includes the complete entire original newspaper, NOT just a clipping or a page of it. STEPHEN A. GOLDMAN HISTORICAL NEWSPAPERS stands behind all of the items that we sell with a no questions asked, money back guarantee. Every item we sell is an original newspaper printed on the date indicated at the beginning of its description. U.S. buyers pay $7 priority mail postage which includes waterproof plastic and a heavy cardboard flat to protect your purchase from damage in the mail. We do combine postage (to reduce postage costs) for multiple purchases sent in the same package. We accept payment by Check, Money order, cash, or credit card (Visa and Master Charge) - we do NOT participate in PAYPAL. We list hundreds of rare newspapers with dates from 1570 through 2003 on Ebay each week. This is truly SIX CENTURIES OF HISTORY that YOU CAN OWN!
