Pardon my ignorance but I have never been able to make out Mary Kelly's left leg in the infamous photograph. Her right leg - with the large portion of bone clearly visible - is in plain view. However I can't figure for the life of me where in the world her left leg is on the photo. Please help. An Ignorant American |

Hi Look again at the pic...Go just down from Mary's arm, past what could be a piece of sheet or chemise!! (Dont start that again!) and there you will see the top of Mary's knee facing the camera ,whether or not the top of that leg was devoid of flesh as well is difficult to see, would have to check p/m reports for that Hope this is of some help! Cheers Suzi Ignorant???? No as to the REAL facts here we're all ignorant!!! But it's fun!! |

Hi have just checked Dr Bond's record and quote "The left thigh was stripped of skin, fascia and muscles as far as the knee" So it looks like Mary's left thigh was much the same as the horribly visible right one but because of camera angle it's difficult to see! Hope this is of some help! Suzi |
