Hey.. I was aware that there were several problems with the case, such as screw ups that the police made (erasing the chalk on the wall next to the body of one of the victims); were there any others? |

Hi Stacy The police didn't erase chalk next to a victim's body. You're thinking of the police erasure of a chalked message in Goulston St. A piece of Catherine Eddowes's apron was found lying close by. Robert |

Stacy- You've really opened up a can of worms here!! Many of the "mistakes" we see today are based on different kinds of police procedure between then and now and a forensic science that was in its infancy then. There was also the loss of documents. And the almost criminal cavalier treatment of fact by the press. The list goes on. Mags |
