Above: The Minories, taken from Aldgate. In one of the letters supposedly written by the Ripper is a warning of a murder in the Minories. It seems likely that the Ripper came up the Minories after the Stride murder, across Aldgate and into Duke's Place, where he met Catharine Eddowes.
