An omnibus conductor in the employ of the London General Omnibus Company, told the strange story of a man who boarded the omnibus at Highgate.
The man, holding a green umbrella in front of his face, immediately began conversing with himself. When the man arrived at London Bridge he suddenly pronounced that he was Jack the Ripper and threatened to rip a lady who was seated on the omnibus. When the conductor asked him if it was true that he was Jack the Ripper, Isaacs replied, 'Yes, I am Jack the Ripper'. He was promptly ordered to leave the omnibus, where upon he was arrested. The man was later identified as 40 year old Benjamin Isaacs. He was later charged with disorderly conduct.
