Nicholai van Burst

Van Burst, a Dutchman, was a resident of Bacon's Hotel in Fitzroy Square. He was arrested after accosting several women at Kings Cross railway station on the night of 25 November 1888. He briefly came under suspicion of being the Ripper, but was satisfactorily able to account for his movements on the nights in question, and was subsequently released. Van Burst was described as 50 years old, 5ft 11"tall, with dark hair and a moustache. He was said to have been respectable in appearance.
