POLICE.
Yesterday, at the Leman-street Police-station, Mr. Superintendent T. Arnold was presented with a massive silver-mounted claret jug and biscuit holder, from the officers and men of the H Division, the command of which he has held for 18 years. Captain Dean, chief constable, after expressing regret at Mr. Arnold’s retirement, said he had handled his men with tact and decision, and they were all much indebted to him. On behalf of the officers at Scotland-yard he wished him godspeed.
