Sir,-As a proof of the wonderful power of memory of the late Sir William Gull, may I mention that calling upon him last year, at his kindly-expressed wish, he not only chatted freely as to many interviews and incidents in the past, but particularly he dwelt upon my first interview with him 40 years since when he was living in Finsbury-square?
The cure then effected and the good advice Sir William gave have never been forgotten by me, but was much impressed to find that one who, through life, has seen and relieved so many patients should, after such a long period, remember so completely the circumstances of any particular case.
