New York, Aug.28.
A woman known as Mrs. Anne Moore was found murdered early today in a furnished room on
Second Street. She was horribly ripped and gashed, her body resembling those victims of
the infamous Jack the Ripper, whose series of murders had the police of London at their
wits' ends for two years. James Moore, who posed as the woman's husband, is detained by
the police on suspicion.
