JACK THE RIPPER
NEW YORK CRIMINAL SUSPECTED

New York, March 22.
Sunday night a woman was ripped up the side and a big knife left sticking in the wound. The knife was traced to an Italian barber named Frank Castellano and he was arrested. The police have since discovered that until recently he was a fireman aboard one of the transatlantic steamers which, with other circumstances, makes them believe he is none other than the notorious Jack the Ripper.
