The 17th a boatman picked up from the Thames a corpse of a woman who was somewhat elegantly dressed and whose identity they have managed to establish. It was a girl by the name of Frances Annie Hancock who has been missing since the 21st October. The same day as she disapeared people saw her in company with a tall man with a big light moustache. She wore a gold necklace that was not found on the corpse. Her hat and shoes were missing but all her other clothes were on. This woman had the same profession as all the other victims of Jack the Ripper but was in the more upper class. She worked in the rich districts and even had a noble protector.
