But Not The Work of the Whitechapel Fiend
London, November 21.
This city was startled and shocked this morning by a report that another unfortunate had fallen a victim to the terrible knife of the Whitechapel fiend. The report stated that the mysterious woman slayer had accompanied his victim to a lodging house, cut her throat and mutilated her person in a manner similar to that of his previous victims and succeeded in making his escape. The police at once formed lines surrounding the precinct in which the crime had been committed. As the report spread crowds of maddened men and women flocked to the scene.
