On the Cover

It is 2nd October - two days after the date of the notorious so-called "double event' in the annals of Ripper history back in 1888 - an appropriate occasion to reproduce this famous Illustrated Police News cover depicting the discovery of these two heinous crimes. An interesting point is the small depiction of Inspector Reid, about whom there is a new book shortly to be launched (see page 8).
