Jack the Ripper's Black Magic Rituals
Ivor Edwards
Penny Publishing, 2001. 172pp., illustrated.
ISBN: 0954147405

Casebook Review:

This book purports to explain the motive, planning and execution of the Ripper murders as part of a mystical "black magic" ritual performed by none other than Roslyn Donston. Edwards' theory is that the murders were planned on a map according to an ancient geometric symbol called Vesica Pisces. Although he provides a lot of information concerning the symbol and its use throughout history, the attempt to connect it to the Ripper murders does not fully convince. Enthusiasts with an interest in black magic and the occult may be interested in this book, though casual Ripper readers may just find it confusing.
