A New Letter from the Metropolis of the Occident.

Guadalajara, August 9.
Last Sunday we were treated to "Jack the Ripper" at the Degollado theatre, and the ruthless disembowelling of gruesome memory was resurrected, to the delight of our gentry with a penchant for the morbid. "I wants to make yer flesh creep!" and I suppose the posters headed "Jack el Destripador" were displayed in the hotel dining room as a species of appetizer, an intellectual sherry and bitters.
