Hagerstown, Maryland, USA

London, July 16.
One more murder has been added to the long list credited to "Jack the Ripper" in White
Chapel. The body of a woman, evidently one of the disreputable frequenters of the
district, was found in Castle Alley tonight, only a short distance from where the other
murders were committed.
The body was horribly mutilated and bears undoubted evidence of the work of the fiend
whose atrocities in White Chapel terrorized the whole district and created a world-wide
sensation a few months ago.
The police are as far as ever from a clue to the identity of the murderer and seem
perfectly paralyzed. The excitement throughout White Chapel where the news of the
discovery of a fresh victim of the "Ripper" has spread with lighning-like rapidity is at
fever heat.
