A Coroner's life is not a happy one. When Mr. Wynne Baxter, on Saturday morning, opened the inquiry into the death of the woman murdered in Whitechapel, he had already held eleven inquests that day! It is quite evident that whatever may be its emoluments, the office is no sinecure.
