I found this online Book of Remembrance for Mary Kelly, part of the Find a Grave site.

I was particularly intrigued by this message:

Join us at Holy Sepulchre, Rochester, New York State on May 28th 2003 to commemorate (??) the 100th anniversary of the departure from this plane of Jack the Ripper......
-Anonymous

I presume this refers to the centenary of Tumblety's death

Hi, Chris

Indeed May 28, 2003, would have been the centenary of Dr. Tumblety's death. As you may know, we ran a story on Dr. Tumblety's grave in Rochester's Holy Sepulchre cemetery in the last (September) issue of Ripperologist.

Interestingly, the abolitionist Frederick Douglass, who recorded in a letter that he encountered Dr. Tumblety on a Liverpool street, is also buried in Rochester, in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Best regards

Chris George
